A young Nigerian boy has made headlines after building a high-flying drone using locally-sourced items.
The boy, identified as Aliyu Damilola, an indigene of Kwara state, said he is happy that his years of hard work has finally paid off.
He added that he is overjoyed that his work and talent is attracting the attention of the world.

Aliyu Damilola was discovered by popular Nigerian comedian, Cute Abiola, who serves as the special assistant to the Kwara state governor on creative industries.
In an Instagram video, the comedian shared a video of Damilola demonstrating how the drone works. Social media users applauded the creativity of Aliyu Damilola.
Cute Abiola also called on well-meaning individuals to encourage and support the talent of Aliyu Damilola so he could do better.
He said, “The story of Aliyu Musa. A kwara state, Nigeria indigene that made an aircraft by himself is going to surprise you. Please let’s encourage and celebrate this Talent @aliyu.damilola.”

Nigerian boy invents generator that works without fuel
Meanwhile, a talented Nigerian boy invented a power generator that works appropriately without requiring fuel.
The 11-year-old boy, identified as Muhammad Kaumi Bashir from Borno state, Nigeria, is a first-year high school student.
Kaumi Bashir’s curiosity and problem-solving skills led him to fabricate the mini-power generator, as he remains on course to fulfill his dream of becoming an Electrical Engineer.
